Just saw "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" at the cinema today. It's meant to be a more fantastical re-imaginationed sequel to the classic "New Dragon Gate Inn" (新龙门客栈) (1992), which was more slapstick wuxia. If you don't watch a lot of kungfu flicks, the 1992 film had an excellent femslashy scene with the following clip (which has French subs) between the characters played by Brigitte Lin and Maggie Cheung:
Anyway, about the movie; all in all, if you are prepared to suspend your disbelief at some of the scenes, and ignore the ultra cheesy romance, it was actually a pretty fun movie. :P Again, I might be reading too much femslash these days, but from this new movie, it looks like Lin Yanqiu/Su Huirong is a definite femslash pairing, though I wouldn't mind if I saw a few fanfics involving the Tartar tribal princess (does anyone remember her character name?).

Tartar Tribal princess (played by Kwai Lun-Mei of Blue Gate Crossing (藍色大門) fame (a Taiwanese film with lesbian content!)) -- in terms of characters, I think her character rocks the most!
