Have you actually written something? Do you know what it takes to write something that dares to be different from the usual? Your criticism has its value, but would be more valuable if expressed directly to the writer. That way they can improve upon what you consider to be faults. This way many potential fans miss out on what is a really good, really original work of fiction that doesn't give in to any cliches, that doesn't say sorry for being different, that speaks controversially without taking the tedious route of the no-longer-so-sordid sexual taboo.
