Huffington Post: PayPal Takes Controversial Stance Against Sex
ebooks has a couple of posts and threads devoted to this Smashwords issue but elf narrows down the core issues.

ailelie's upcoming queer women ezine Plunge Magazine managed to reach their target goal of $2,000 on their kickstart page, thanks to some nice donors. Congratulations! Submissions for the first issue (coming out in February 2013, I believe) open in July. Any additional donations will go toward reducing costs for funding issues 3 and 4, as well as covering for KS and Amazon's cuts.

Looks promising, though the writing is a touch dramatic.

I really like the Vulcan world-building in this one.

Star Trek: Voyager
Talking Stick/Circle Series by macedon and peg (Janeway/Chakotay, AU) (kudos to beatrice_otter)
"Set against the backdrop of a storytelling group which has grown up spontaneously on Voyager," Chakotay finds himself.

A classic ST:V story where various stories told within the storytelling group speaks to Voyager's larger struggle for group unity and direction. In terms of characterization, macedon writes a strong Chakotay, and peg's take on Janeway is somewhat different from the ones I've read from various femslash series. Given that this is an AU that seems to have taken off very early in the series, Seven does not make an appearance, even though the Battle of Wolf 359 is addressed. The Chakotay/Janeway storyline...needs work, particularly with pacing, but the overarching narrative is intriguing, and the various messages that the series highlights are too important to ignore. Post-colonialism, ethnocentrism, and genocide are merely some of the big themes that are addressed. I spent most of Sunday reading this and was pleasantly immersed.

Stargate SG-1
Point of Intersection by sixbeforelunch (Vala Mal Doran, Anise, Freya; warning: violence) (kudos to beatrice_otter)
"Of all the amoral former hosts I've spent time with, I wanted to kill you the least." This is the one where Vala Mal Doran is saved by the Tok'ra, and Qetesh is removed.

This was another one that beatrice_otter rec'ed for fancake's "female characters" monthly theme. The premise is intriguing enough that I have a feeling that this might generate some longer fics of a similar nature.
