Update 1/11/2011 - Updated stories with alternative Google Docs provided by the author, who has deleted his/her LJ.
Miriam Princheck by pin_drop (kudos to
chilly_flame for introducing me to this!)
"After all that, it turns out Miranda’s not invincible." Everyone's built up Miranda Priestley to a certain image and held her up to a high pedestal, but when the cracks start to show, can Andy reach out to Miriam Princheck in time? Definitely a well-written unique, layered, take on the dynamics between these two, and with enough plot twists to make your mind spin.
Working Title by pin_drop (Andy/Miranda, Miranda/Nigel, Miranda/OFC)
The author adds wonderful character depth in this novella-length piece for Miranda and Nigel and how they relate to each other. I ought to add this spoiler addenda that while I found the interactions for Andy/Miranda to be very awkward in several places (highlight to unspoil) (the marijuana elevator sequence, the Paris Andy melt down sequence, and "let's make Andy the cook" sequence)--many of which seem out of character and out of place--it doesn't take away the awesomeness that is part 2 and the last sequence of the fic. Unconventional and not readily categorizable, indeed...

Date: 2011-10-28 01:05 am (UTC)I've deleted my journal because of LJ's latest security lapse. (If you don't know what I'm referring to, you can read about it here: http://eruthros.dreamwidth.org/329681.html) I won't be coming back to Livejournal, but tomorrow when I am less sleepy I will make google docs containing my stories and send you the URLs.
By the way, today is the first time in quite a long while that I've logged in to Livejournal, and it seems that at some point my e-mail comment notifications stopped working. I didn't notice that at the time (there being nothing to notify me of the fact), but in the intervening months I've received a lot of friend requests. I had no idea that people might still be trying to read my stories, and I feel terrible for being out of touch. The new docs will of course be public.
Thanks for doing such a fabulous job of maintaining the DWP rec list, by the way -- I've gotten a lot of great reading out of it.
