Update 1/11/2011 - Updated stories with alternative Google Docs provided by the author, who has deleted his/her LJ.

Miriam Princheck by pin_drop (kudos to chilly_flame for introducing me to this!)
"After all that, it turns out Miranda’s not invincible." Everyone's built up Miranda Priestley to a certain image and held her up to a high pedestal, but when the cracks start to show, can Andy reach out to Miriam Princheck in time? Definitely a well-written unique, layered, take on the dynamics between these two, and with enough plot twists to make your mind spin.

The author adds wonderful character depth in this novella-length piece for Miranda and Nigel and how they relate to each other. I ought to add this spoiler addenda that while I found the interactions for Andy/Miranda to be very awkward in several places (highlight to unspoil) (the marijuana elevator sequence, the Paris Andy melt down sequence, and "let's make Andy the cook" sequence)--many of which seem out of character and out of place--it doesn't take away the awesomeness that is part 2 and the last sequence of the fic. Unconventional and not readily categorizable, indeed...

Phew! Umm, cos yes, it's a damty serious situation, but my GRRR! levels have reached that stage where (yes, odd) coping mechs are hopping up and down saying, "Find funny side before breakages occur!" (nearest thing to break is, unfortunately, not an alabaster sculpture of Frank [or Mimi]).
